IA: Des Moins man waiting for tow truck robbed, but shot back killing armed robber

His car had been stolen. Police notified him of the location where it was abandoned and he went there on his motorcycle, rather than having it towed to an impound lot. While he was waiting for a wrecker to tow the car ( I guess it was not operable) A pair drive up and decide to rob the man waiting (apparently waiting in a public place is a good way to get robbed today, I seem to read about this a lot) As he was handing over his back pack he went for his gun and killed the robber.

The article was written in Seattle and they seem astonished that he was not arrested or jailed. After all he was just an alleged street robber. BTW our hero had a CHL.

I noticed they closed comments on the story, thereby denying any anti-“alleged” criminal, pro-GGWAG folks from pointing out the obvious left wing bias.

Good story, but it happened in Des Moines, Washington (state), not Iowa.
