I finally received a response and have updated my signature.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

I am sad to admit that I had to look up who my Texas House Rep was... While attempting to find his voting record on 2A I found this: [bogus Second Amendment organization deleted].

Gives me hope for his response. We'll see I guess.
How did you find his email address... I had trouble finding a way to contact him other than phone for snail mail. Ultimately I found a "Send a Message to the office of State Rep Dennis Paul" form on his campaign website and I used that.
I used the 'email' button from the http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/me ... strict=129 site.
d'oh. now I see it right next to his picture.
Allisji - you ever hear back from Mr Paul ?

I used the form letter and tweaked it a bit to suit my purpose, and emailed it to my Rep. I don't think it will do any good. Longoria almost always votes along party lines.

According to a quick search, my representative has a 7% rating from the NRA. (Why yes, I do live in Travis County. How did you guess?)

So I'm not sure I should contact her and get myself on a list.

Eh, given that she was just indicted by a grand jury on 13 Felony Counts of tampering with public records and 2 misdemeanor counts of abuse of official capacity I don't think contacting her would do you any good...

As long as they're keeping it weird, it's all good!
