Expungement of previous carrying without a license convictions: passed.

Never would have expected that one.

I'll bet she thought she was just making a point. I'll also bet she still votes against the bill. I hope her amendment has tight language so it doesn't derail this thing but I suspect Schaffer would have looked at that already.

Amendment to expunge the record for offenses from the past of people carrying without a license. This sounds like it's appropriately limited to cases where the firearm was not used in any nefarious way, it was simply carrying without a license.

An amendment to the CC legislation that expunges the records for all persons who have previously been convicted of carrying illegally. No impact on any other convictions (actually committing another crime with the handgun), but getting rid of the carry-only crimes.

Hmm, not a fan of 20. That now added some cost to the bill.

Yes, it does, for sure.

However, I have to respect that she presented the amendment in a non-biased matter. She recognized that the bill was contentious, she recognized that there are people on both sides of the matter in the house, and she recognized that the collection of data could allow either side to support their positions with data as the years roll on.

I don't necessarily support the amendment, but I appreciate her way of presenting it in a non-partisan manner.

20 other states, including OK, have permitless carry without the "blood in the streets" that Turner is perdicting.

So they all waited until they moved passed time for comment and Schaffer started to close and then they dramatically all start popping up.

This guy up now is mischaracterizing now. He's making it sound like the rules to purchase a gun are changing instead of carry.

I love Amendment 22! It should have been in the original Open Carry bill. I just hope it doesn't turn into a poison pill.

What was 21 about? Does this bill allow permitless carry on college campuses?
