When I was a little boy, we made toy guns out of sticks, cardboard, and things around the house. The caulk gun submachinegun was our favorite because it had a collapsible stock! We also made race cars, airplanes, and space ships from used cardboard boxes.

Later we got old enough to have bicycles and bb guns.

Why does Hollywood's endless glorification of gun violence always escape mention?

So that's why the Lone Ranger is no longer on the air.

Probably was traumatized as a kid by the recoil from a rubber band gun.

That’s only a small part of it. Football teaches violence. The coach and parents wants you to hit harder and knock the opponent to the ground. They teach that at all costs you have to win. Whatever you do, you don’t want to be a loser. They tell them that nobody like a loser. Losers don’t get anything.

But, violence is not the problem. Guns are and gun violence is a major problem. Whooda thunk?

Maybe they could “exchange” the toy guns, for real ones. Now THAT would tempt me! :hurry:
