WaPo: Spike in violent crime follows rise in gun-buying amid social upheaval

There is seemingly no end to the extent to which anti-gun people and groups will lie about guns and gun owners. Post links to articles by these masters of prevarication here.

WaPo: Spike in violent crime follows rise in gun-buying amid social upheaval

https://www.washingtonpost.com/business ... ronavirus/
Nearly half of those 3 million additional sales happened in June, after several days of protests sparked by Floyd’s killing in police custody.
You don't think that could have been the reason many decided they needed to get firearms? Could it also be that some cities took votes to "de-fund" police?

Just about everyone on this forum has figured out that our safety and the safety of our family is OUR responsibility. We are our own first responder. Residents in the cities who voted to "de-fund" police are just now figuring that out.

Yep. There was a cause and effect, just not in the order the echo chamber, left wing lunatics, want to believe.

I was in the local Academy last Sunday looking at some grill supplies. I noticed the ammo section was quite bare. Only thing on there was 22 and some assorted large bore rifle ammo.
Looks like the ammo buying hasn't slowed much.

Washington Post, along with NY Times and many others, do NOT report the news. They create leftist propaganda stories masquerading as news.

The authors caution that a study of this nature cannot prove causality,
So in other words, the entire thing is nothing more than political posturing to advance the gun control agenda.
