Had a good LEO experience yesterday

Most CHL/LEO contacts are positive, how about yours? Bloopers are fun, but no names please, if it will cause a LEO problems!

Had a good LEO experience yesterday

I was bringing in some stuff from the car after a trip to the hardware store. I was OC with jeans and a polo. An old man walked past the house so I waved and said hello, and he waved back. 20 seconds later I hear a loud noise and look over and see the old man face-down on the ground in the street. I run over and call 911, ready to give first aid if necessary. Long story short, he tripped and scratched his face up on the concrete pretty bad, but was otherwise okay. Police were the first to arrive on the scene. They paid no attention to my gun while assessing the medical concern to which they were responding, but once the guy was in the back of the ambulance getting checked by the EMT's, the Sergeant came over with a huge smile and asked what I was carrying and we talked about guns for a few minutes before he returned to his patrol. I love when cops are not just okay with OC, but seem excited to see it. Because I know I get excited when I see someone else OC.

Every interaction, I have had with LEO, while OC, has been positive. Most are only a glance at my gun, and a nod. Only one spoke to me about what I carried.

Also glad your neighbor was ok.

I have interacted with several Austin and Elgin officers who happened to be in the same restaurant as I. I always carry my S&W M&P M2.0 9mm 5inch openly. Never a negative encounter, just pleasant conversation.
