Got an email to my instructor email address this afternoon with the above subject. Started off:
"Dear Member,
One of our member is in dire need of the entire Texas Department of Public Safety help and it will really be appreciated if we all can join hands together to save his son. A fundraising campaign has been created and we are counting on everyone. Below is the campaign, thank you for your support in advance."
It just does not appear legit to me. I'm guess they pulled email addresses off the online list. I contacted DPS about it and if I'm wrong I'll let you know.

Don't remember. Deleted it after verifying it was bogus. Ms Caballero, RSD, did also verify it was bogus.
