Looking for a Smith model 49 snubbie. Prefer nickel but will take blue. Looking for a nice one, but doesn't have to be a museum piece. North Dallas area or willing to ship to my FFL.

I have a low round count model 640 I might be persuaded to sell if the price offered is right. MSRP NIB is $809. It’s the stainless one in this picture:

2" instead of a 1-7/8" barrel. Chambered in .357 Magnum, so of course it will take that or .38 Special. It’s an all stainless steel gun…so not an airweight. It shoots just fine. I just rarely ever shoot it, in fact it’s been years since the last time, so it’s just taking up space in my safe and I have 2 other .357s so I don’t really rely on having it.

Here’s the S&W page for this model: https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/model-640.

I have that same one. Much nicer shooting with .38 +P than any of the 1 7/8" bbl. lightweights. I want to upgrade it to the Performance Center 640 some day.
