Bayonet Lug Extension

#1

Post by clarionite »

Over the years I've looked at either changing my carbine length gas block to a mid length, or sending my bayonets off to have the handles extended by 1.5 inches, or having a piece put on behind the flash suppressor to fit the ring on the bayonet. I was too lazy to do the gas block change, and the other two seemed really cludgey to me. With the piece behind the suppressor being the worst of the options as it did away with 1.5 inches of useful blade.

A couple of weeks ago I found this.

I ordered a couple and they came in Saturday. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of them. And they're the perfect length. I'm not sure when I'll ever need the bayonets, but I have it now if I do.

I was shocked and saddened to learn that they don't teach BRD (Bayonet Rifle Drills) in basic training anymore.
