Finally brought my new CCW home!!

Well, my wife suprised me and told me she was buying my next CCW for me. I had put it on layaway to pick up after I got done traveling for work this month but she insisted I drive her to the gun shop and pick it up. She's one in millions!!!

I've been looking for this little gem for what seems like eternity. It's a Beretta 92FS Compact L Type M Custom Carry II. They're about impossible to find and this one was almost flawless. Appears to be unfired, but I think it has at least a mag through it. Came with two mags but I was able to pick up two new ones reasonable cheap (considering their rarity). This 9mm has a single stack, 8 shot magazine with finger rest baseplate. Other features include stainless barrel/slide, Novak sights, right side safety lever cap, slim grip, straight dust cover and short barrel/slide with flat main spring cap. Traditionally DA/SA with a safety decocker, it will give me a decent option for carrying and after putting it in the BladeTech IWB form HighVelocity tonight, it's about as comfy as my Kahr in a MS VMII. Slightly heavier with a little more width, but nothing a cover shirt couldn't fix. Without further delay, my wife's early Christmas present to me:

That is a very cool blaster. How about a pic of the back edge of the grip next to one of your px4 mags for comparison? It looks like it's very slim (which is a good thing).

edited to add: This is the only one of these pistols I have ever seen. I didn't even know it existed.

I'll see if I can get a pic up later. The single stack mag makes it much thinner than the full size. There are quite a few compacts in teh 92 series

92FS compact L (13 round double stack shorter mag)
92FS compact L Type M (8 round single stack mag)
92FS Centurion (shorter barrel/slide with standard frame)

They also came in D and G models and there was a Custom Carry before the CCII. The Border Marshall has a shorter barrel/slide but is a full size.

Great looking gun! I saw one of them at the Pasadena gun show last summer. I had never seen one so didn't know what it was! Maybe I should have bought it.

On the outside of the grip panels, it's 1.29". Here's a few pics comparing it to a Beretta Minx .22 and a Beretta PX4 mag. The frame on the 92 is thinner than the mag of the PX4. Prices vary, but these are in the $500-$700 range depending on condition, accessories and your desire for such a pistol. I paid $450 for this one and it was a STEAL!!!! Mags aren't cheap at about $35-$50ish and forget ever getting a set of factory grip panels for it. Most parts are interchangeable with the 92 series, so luckily, it's still possible to get parts if needed.

Hi,

It looks like you've had that CCII for several years. You want to sell it yet?

I am looking for one.

Thanks
