Utah CFP Instructor in Houston Area

#1

Post by Charles L. Cotton »

I have received a number of questions about instructors for the Utah Concealed Firearms Permit in the Houston area and I know of none. I have to make a trip to Nevada in April, so I signed up to take the Utah CFP Instructor Course while I'm in the area.

I should be able to offer the course sometime in the first part of May. One very convenient aspect of the Utah license is that there is no range work, so classes can be taught at any location without having to schedule a range.

It's about time one of you South Texas people stepped up to the plate!

Congrats, Charles :tiphat: Let me know if you need anything.

Charles, and et al.,

I keep seeing references inferring something relevant about Utah concealed carry permits. Would someone enlighten me.

Thanks

From llwatson's website:

The Utah permit adds Washington, Ohio, Nevada, and Minnesota to the reciprocal states you have with your Texas CHL .

Charles, put me down for one of the first classes. Thanks for doing this!

The Utah CFP is also much less expensive than the Texas CHL. $65.25 for the initial license and $10 for renewals. That makes it a good alternative for those who are "cash challenged".

Charles, count me in. Please advise as to dates as early as possible. I will have my son come in to attend with me. Thanks in advance.
