Well it took a little over two years but I finally settled on one.
Found a 6" Model 27-2 on GunBroker I couldn't pass up.
It's finish is worn and marred in spots but that is just fine because I intend to shoot this.
I'm waiting patiently to hear from my FFL now that it is in.
Next step is to figure out what loads I want to run through it.

Defintely a 27/28 over the Model 19. I had a beautiful blued 3-1/2" bbl i bought in the 60's that got stolen. I found Inickled 3-1/2" Mod. 27 circa 1976 in a presentation case a year or so back. It's just as sweet as my blued pistol was.
