It's been some time since I visited the store, but the prices were higher than online. Brick and mortar has a more costly overhead, so I just assumed their store sales were for locals who didn't want to wait for delivery. I guess they can no longer justify the added cost of a store front operation. When I first ordered from FM I don't believe they had opened the store, which opened in 2012. I've never had any issues with their ammo, 9mm, .40SW and .223 some reman and some new; all calibers. The email I received about the closing still had a map of their location. :headscratch

Probably cheaper and easier to sell the inventory off than to ship it back.

My guess is with the glut of ammo available in the market again it made little sense to maintain a brick and mortar location that couldn't compete on price.

Yes, the price was a problem. Higher than online, and also higher than their competitors such as LAX ammo. It didn't help that they were forced to charge sales tax on both B&M and online sales since they maintained a location in Texas. Not sure when / if that requirement goes away with them closing the store.

Glad they are staying in business online. Positive...no sales tax.

I hope that closing the store leads to them having remanufactured 168 grain Match .308 back in stock. They USED to have it all the time, but I haven’t been able to buy it online from them in a couple of years now.....it being always “sold out”.
