Radical New Pistol Design - Need Some Help

#1

Post by ORIGINAL TEX »

Needs some help here folks. A couple of days ago I ran across a new pistol design on the web, but can't seem to locate it again and hoping someone else ran across it and maybe saved a link. It has a fixed 9mm barrel at very low bore axis and disassemble by removing a pin at the front and then the top of the side just sort of lifts off. Supposed to have extremely low recoil and has several other innovations if I remember right.

Any help would be appreciated.

Less recoil but same power back into your hand. Rumors are it would be north of $4,000. They can can keep it, at that price you can buy a fully topped racing gun.

I love that pistol design is still evolving! Looks like very low muzzle flip. :thumbs2:

My initial negative thought is if you had a stoppage, the traditional failure drill (with support hand racking from above) would not work due to the fixed top... or maybe a modified action would still work. ?

Cool and interesting design, doesn’t look like it truly performs better than other 9mm pistols. Worth 4,000? Not a chance. Cool toy anyway.

Many guns are after low bore axis, H9 is one of them, the accuracy is not there according to one Pro shooter.

I think the idea in the H9 is sound. Forgotten Weapons on Youtube has a great interview between Ian and the founder where they show and take down all of the prototypes. I get the sense that it's still a work in progress, and that it may one day be the progenitor of whole generations of guns like the HiPower was.

German P38, is one of the most advanced pistol for its days. It has none tilting barrel (removable and not fixed), very low bore axis, soft recoil and side left and right mini recoil springs. It is also one of the most accurate pistol you can have. I have 2.

Presenting an 80 yrs old design:

And look at this old friend Smith and Wesson Model 41, released to the public in 1957.
It has separate slide and barrel/top part of the frame and real internal hammer for a 22LR
