Finished Build

#1

Post by jb2012 »

In the spirit of showing off new builds, I’ll jump on the new build bandwagon

-Spikes Lower
-CMC 3.5lb flat single stage trigger
-KAK Buffertube and Shockwave Brace
-Strike Industries flatwire buffer spring (eliminates cheese grader sound) also at $15.00 totally worth it
-Aero assembled upper
-Ballistic Advantage 11.5 carbine barrel (5.56)
-STNGR Mlok rail
-Regular birdcage flash hider until I buy a can

Haven’t gotten to shoot it yet, but have an H2 buffer ready if it seems over gassed. Probably will shoot it sometime in the next week.

Open to suggestions for a red dot -> will probably put a holosun red dot on it until I save up for an aimpoint

Looks good.

I have a very similar setup but in 300 blackout. I put an Ainpoint PRO on mine cause any in the Comp line is pricey.

I know they different animals but I run a H3 in mine with a VG6 brake. Suppressor would make it too long to fit in my backpack. I'm going to guess you will need the H2.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Awesome man. I like the CMC trigger you used, have it in my normal AR15.

I love that trigger, there might be (marginally) better triggers, but for the price and the fact that it’s a Texas brand makes it my favorite.

I ran a few test rounds through it in the backyard and it cycled and ejected perfectly. Out of respect for the neighbors I try not to shoot rifles back there a whole lot, so next time I go to the range I’ll really put it through its paces.
