I almost skipped the video, but it shows a completely different (and serious) problem.
A much bigger issue :thumbs2:
Agreed.

There was a saying once " No one ever got fired for buying IBMs"

They were over priced, underpowered junk, but politically safe.
IBM salespeople used the FUD policy to make sales.
That is, they used FEAR, UNCERTAINTY, and DOUBT on their prospects. IBM was the safe choice. Don't buy Honeywell or any other competitor.

By the way, since IBM employees were relocated often, the company initials meant I'll Be Moving.

Many, many years ago, a startup's founders had heard that companies with 3 letter names tended to be successful.
So they named their company NBI - Nothing But Initials. :-)

To their customers the letters IBM also stood for “I’ve Been Misled.” :biggrinjester:

After watching the video I sure don’t want to own or be around a FNS9!

The Recall is that the old striker would charge under abnormal conditions, allowing it go off.
Supposedly fixed with the New striker that they are replacing it with.

Glad I read this. I have an FNS9 that I have enjoyed shooting. Bought it used a while back and never had any issues with it. It has been reliable and accurate for me. I did a little research after reading this thread and decided to reach out to FN. Called them this afternoon and they could not have been nicer. They set up an account for me and sent directions on how to send my unit in. Then, they immediately sent me a FedEx shipping label and will cover the shipping back to me as well. Supposedly, the striker will be replaced as has been mentioned above. Should take about three weeks. I'm not happy about the problem but I am very happy with the service they are offering to fix the problem. Walther also provided similar excellent service a while back for a CCP I had.
