Very impressive video, also some very surprising results...And some not so surprising results.

The video certainly changes the perspective of including the .380 in the mouse gun group. I only carry my LCP when concealment is a real problem and still prefer to have one of my other guns with a higher round capacity. But carrying it gives me less concern than I had about being under-gunned before I watched that video.

Fascinating study with a lot to think about based on effects on adversary targets, not on chronographs or gelatin.

My pleasure... I've seen a lot of videos and a lot of online arguments on this subject (as most of us have). With the exception of the .22 and .32 (per the video) being armed with most modern self defense ammo is defiantly going to give you a leg up with an attacker.... I am currently unable to carry my 9mm for another month due to a surgery, but I am at least packing my pocket .380 until then...

I love this video because I think that it says a lot about the .380 (at least vs common perception).

I will also once again plug for the post wherein I worked up a 115 grain .380 load that easily meets all FBI standards (12.5" through heavy denim, full expansion). It made me sad because it was a lot of work (and a $100 clear gel block that I only bought for the sake of taking pictures) and not one person responded to it.

As matter of fact, 9mm is the best balance round for free men to carry. Women who have issues with recoil can shoot 380ACP just fine.
Not all targets respond the same way. Once Upton a time, I heard story, than a person survived multiple shots of an AK-47. However, I assume he was incapacitated in few seconds. All what it takes a single 9mm to the skull and done.

At the end of day, all what is needed:
1) Modern Bonded Hollow point, eg HST or Gold dots
2) Shot placement

Last but not least, you carry a gun to run back to the rifle that you should not put it down in the first place
