Ever hear of a 9mm bringing down a fighter plane?

A .45 did.

Details here.

I believe that top secret bullet has an incredible G7 BC to be used as an AAA.

More proof: Apparently one needed lots of lesser bullets to get the job done:

A German 88mm is also superior to a .45 for some things, not including portability and concealability.

I believe that during the Battle Off Samar during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, several fighter-bomber pilots who was out of every other sort of ammo fired their .38 revolvers at the IJN surface forces, which eventually withdrew. So depending upon one's subjective allotment of credit to the various weapons involved, .38 SPL>.45 ACP?

Doesn't count - no confirmed kills on aircraft or even armored fighting vehicles. :smilelol5:

The pilot had slowed the plane to near stalling speed to look at Baggett, and now it went into a spin before it was lost to sight.
Big deal. The stall speed of a Mitsubishi Zero was only 55 mph (linkey). Even a .380 Glock could have made that kill.

Big whoop. The shoot down happened on July 26, 1942. Gaston Glock was born on July 19, 1929. He was only 13 at the time of the shoot down, and that’s hardly his fault. But if he HAD been there, he’d have been able to shoot it down with his trusty G44 in .22 LR. The Zero was made out of tin and origami paper, and held together with dried tofu paste. And a .22 to the brain ends in death pretty much as often and as quickly as a .45 does. The CCI Minimag .22 LR is a fearsome cartridge.

The one based on Browning's tilting barrel lockup, you mean? ;-) All Gaston did was design a different trigger mechanism - big whoop back Image Image
