Wife followed this morning to School

Any more news on the guy that followed her? I'd be wanting to keep tabs on him, see whether he gets released, keep a sharp eye out if he does.

The police wouldnt tell us what he was arrested for. But we did follow up and asked. We were told dont worry he will not be out for a very long time. One thing we added to our daily routine is to change the route we take to and from home.

Thanks for the update. I would ask the cops about this once in a while. I can understand keeping it under wraps for awhile if there is an investigation of something else going on, but eventually this has to come out in the open, and if it were me or my wife being followed I would be intensely interested in who, why, where, etc.

Some counties have their jail records on-line. If you know the defendant's name and you are in a county that has on-line jail records then you may be able to look his name up, see what he is charged with, and the amount of his bail.

Just recently a thug was sentenced to 40 yrs. He would sit & watch for victims & follow them home. He focused on the elderly & would beat & rob them.

I saw a security cam video & he pulled up to the curb on a bright sun lit day just like he owned the place.

He targeted elderly individuals as they left businesses and followed them home. Video surveillance showed Robertson focused on individuals who parked in handicapped parking spaces.

Robertson would approach his victims as they got out of their cars, where he would beat and rob them of wallets, purses, and other valuables.

This victim was 81 yrs old and had just returned from a Louisiana casino as I remember. The thug made a nice haul.

If it is not online you can always call the jail if you know his name. The arrest is public information.

Sounds to me like this was very likely a random encounter. The perp didn't know who she was. Given that she does not have to testify at trial, there's good reason to believe that the perp will never know who he was following and would therefore be unable to connect any dots, if he was inclined towards retribution.

Still, always good to be vigilant.

I realize I'm responding to an "old" story but it was my wife's story a few years ago too. Even after talking her through the event, she still didn't believe me how necessary it was to have called the police while being followed very aggressively through many different turns. Thank you for this post as I will have my wife read it to at least remind her what to do in the event it happens again.
