Love news writers today Richmond and Westheimer parallel each other, so no idea sort of where this happened.

And then you have the issue of the gun shooting him.

And then the gun had such good aim it killed him with one shot.

I trust my guns to not "go off" when someone isn't pressing the trigger. To date, they have never failed me in this. Perhaps his gun wasn't trustworthy, or maybe a gun virus is going around which somehow animates these machines. More likely of course is that the "report" leaves out important factual information. Rule #1 remains important -- Always keep it pointed in a safe direction.

My first thought as well. Why was the weapon pointed at him? I think he had to have grabbed the trigger at some point or I’m not believing it fired.

And another great example of why I despise the mass news media. The article is pretty much useless.

Leftists like to portray guns as inanimate objects that just jump up and shoot people. Instill fear in the uneducated and gain their support for banning guns.

There is an old saying on the Internet: Pictures or it didn't happen. The article says:
Police say based on surveillance footage, it appears the gun discharged after the man sat it down on a table or counter.
I really want to see the surveillance footage the guy has of the inside of his residence showing the gun going off AFTER he put it down on the table. Or I will not believe it happened.

I'm just trying to figure out how he was shot in the head or heart with a table being involved as an accomplice to the gun.

Maybe Richmond and Westheimer do intersect in "The Twilight Zone" where inanimate objects do the bidding of Rod Serling. That's the only place I can fathom a gun lying on a table or counter going off on it's own. Or maybe he named his gun Christine!

I believe it might be the new Dominion Corp. premium XCast® drop-in trigger systems. I heard there's a recall now because for every round you shoot at your local range, a couple of days later the system will automatically send off five rounds of a different caliber. It's very strange...
