XL 650 Shellplate caps

There are 5 plastic caps on top of the shellplate which I seem to have extra with my spare parts kit, my question is what do they do and how do you keep them in place? I thought they snapped in but that is not the case.

Dillon part number 14050 shellplate cap, there is 5 in total and the response from Dillon was that they'd snap into place which is not the case. There purpose is to prevent debris from going through the dent holes in the shellplate into or onto the platform part number 22060.

It looks like I'll be using glue
