I heard a rumor at the range that TP&W was considering moving to steel shot for dove.

Has anyone else heard that rumor and

is there any truth to it?

In case you're wondering
I am against this

I have heard too many stories of wounded ducks dying long after being shot to consider steel shot to be good.

I've often wondered why the move to steel shot for waterfowl...personally, I think it's stupid and pointless to require lead-free shot for any reason, season, or game.

I thought White Winged doves came under migratory bird (fed) regulations and Non Lead shot was required?

No steel shot for dove this year as best I can tell. I read a TP&W publication stating the zones, bag limits per zone, dates for each zone, etc., and no statement about steel shot.
