I hope I can either fix the problem or it goes away on its own. The spell-checking feature in FireFox is great since phpbb doesn't have that feature.

My best advice to you is get rid of Norton. I is a resource hog and causes more problems than it solves. I use Zone Alarm, Avast, Ad Aware, Spybot, Spywareblaster and Advanced Windows Care 2 personal. These are all free and they work as well as Norton.[/quote]

:iagree: The most popular an-ti virus and spyware utilities, such as Norton,
Mcavee, and spyroot are not always the best. I've tried them all and I found that they cause more problems than their worth. A month ago I bought a Spyroot CD and installed it. Spyroot slowed my computer down
1/3. I had to uninstall it. My computer is fast , with 1 gig. of ram and I have DSL. I use Firefox too and I have had no trouble.

As mrvmax said , the free ones are just as good as those you pay for.

Norton, McAfee, Zone Alarm, Spybot...

Foreign words to me. MacOS X is all I need to know.

As if we didn't have didn't have enough controversy going on with the Glock/1911 debate. Now you've opened up a whole new can of worms :totap:
