AVI to MOV File Conversion Utility

#1

Post by Dad24GreatKids » Mon Oct 19, 2015 11:25 pm

I have several .avi files that I'd like to convert to .mov (Apple Quicktime). These are primarily "home movies" that I would like to be able to access via our Apple TVs or load on my son's iPad. Would someone please recommend a good conversion utility? Either OSX or Win10 is fine. Thanks!

It is worth it to pay for the Quiktime Pro upgrade. One time license is good forever, and it is extremely versatile.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I haven't made a decision yet, but I now have a better set of choices.

I use Basic YTD to convert.. You have to read the setup very carefully or they will sneak some search bar and change your search to Yahoo.. but It will convert .mov to windows video.. it will cut the video out and create an .mp3, convert .mp4, AVI and 3GP. YMMV

*whoops.. forgot.. it's free as well.
