John Cornyn: Senate Should Pass Stand-Alone DACA Amnesty for Illegal Aliens

In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

Great idea. Immediately add half a million Democrat votes.

I lost all faith in politicians along time ago. Nothing surprises me anymore. Never expect anything good from them and you'll never be disappointed. :nono:

Typical John Cornyn, the rino. Just like the gun control bill he’s supporting.

The last thing this country needs is a Republican Senator we can’t count on.

We need another Ted Cruz type to replace him. He is a useless consumer of air.

Somehow these guys lock into the position and getting them out is next to impossible. Another reason we desperately need term limits for Congress people.

Two terms for senators, 3 terms for representatives

Term limits are a bad idea.

If it weren't for the chance of reelection, how would these politicians vote in their last term?

After watching what the bureaucrats did to Trump, I think we need employment time limits on them. That and move the bureau's out of DC.

What you bring up about term limits makes sense. But that may not be such a problem if two term limits work to keep them from becoming so corrupt with the Washington power structure. Presidents have term limits and we don't see them going against their voter base in their final term. For the most part I think they would stick to their true beliefs and what got them there to begin with. Right now we have congress people with no fear of being voted out. They have rigged the system in their perspective districts to keep themselves in power. No fear of being replaced can be just as bad or worse as knowing they are done after this term.

At least with the elected politicians, there is always the chance that they could be voted out of office. The bureaucrats seem to be in DC for life. In recent years we've seen real abuses of power by bureaucrats toward regular folks. I remember the 'stuff' the IRS pulled on the Tea Party organizations.

I think a long term cure would be to limit the number of bureaucrats allowed to live/work in DC and Northern Virginia. Those agencies should be scattered throughout the rest of the country. Any place with high speed interned and an airport would work.

I think we have more to fear from 'faceless' bureaucrats than we do from politicians.

Reduce the size, power, and influence of the federal government....elected, appointed, and regular staff....and the problem starts to go away. Just my opinion.

I've had no trust for John Cornyn since his days as attorney general. His office operated without the tiniest shed of integrity imo.

This is no surprise to me, unfortunately.
