January 29 - DPS confirms they have all relevant documents
Feburary 23 - DPS now confirms they "finally" have all relevant documents (confused by now)
May 14 - Status Change, email from DPS below.

Seriously, I think as of now you have the record (I could be mistaken) of the longest processing time for a normal application (No courts docs etc...). (~150 days)

... I'm told that it could have something to do with my address change happening right around February. Who knows. I have a squeaky clean record, so there were no hold ups with my background check.

Address changes in the middle of the paperwork processing seems to throw all kinds of wrenches into the works. My father and me both took our classes and submitted our paperwork about the same time (early-mid September). I got my plastic in Mid October... He didn't get his till late Jan or maybe early Feb.
