Just want to share my story as i have been following here since i began the process.
6/15/19 LTC class taken
6/16/19 All docs submitted
6/21/19 status showed all green expect "fingerprints under review" and "background check under review"
6/27/19 Fingerprints went green
6/28/19 Background check completed Print pending
I had an arrest about 5 years ago which was dismissed and i submitted my DA disposition when submitting all docs
Shouldnt be long till i have my plastic on hand.
Good luck to everybody i really wasnt expecting it to be so quick after all i had been reading!

It looks like there’s no rhyme or reason for the timing, is there? Some folks are getting theirs in two weeks, some take three months.

Most likely has to do with how long it takes to get requested information back.

6/3/19 - Online application submitted & fee paid.
6/4/19 - Fingerprints taken at IdentoGO
6/27/18 - LTC-101 Submitted
6/29/19 - Website updates, everything green except for background check.
7/2/19 - Background check completed, print pending.
7/9/19 - Status changed to "Mailed"
7/10/19 - License in hand

6/28/19 -LTC-6 photos taken and mailed overnight.
7/1/19 -LTC-6 photos received by DPS
7/2/19 -Identogo fingerprints taken
Pending status update on site.

06/23/19- Took CHL Class
06/23/19- Submitted LTC100 Form
06/24/19- Confirmation Email of documents received
06/26/19- Status shows online (All Green except background check
06/27/19-Background check completed. Print Pending
07/02/19-Mailed! Hopefully will have it soon :-)

My TX LTC Application timeline (so far)
06/07/19- Submitted Application and paid $25.00 veterans fee (Retired U.S. Air Force, Security Forces SR NCO; 23 yrs active duty)
06/09/19- CHL Class and Proficiency Firing
06/14/19- Fingerprints @ IdentoGO
07/01/19- Submitted LTC100 Form, IdentoGO payment receipt and DD Form 214
07/02/19- Confirmation Email of documents received
07/03/19- Status shows online (All Green except "Background Check" and "Print Pending")
07/05/19- Background check completed. Application is now "Print Pending"
07/09/19- Still in "Print Pending" status...

Took Class 7-1
Submitted App 7-2
Fingerprints 7-3
Updated website to show everything green except Background Check 7-9
Just waiting around now.
I don't have any criminal background but I have moved once in 5 years and had a change of employment. Hopefully that won't slow it down too much.
