I’ll be having gastric sleeve surgery done today at 12:15, at Baylor Trophy Club. I’d appreciate prayers for everything to go smoothly, for minimal post-op pain, and for a quick recovery.
I started the pre-op liquid diet back on 10/20, and as of yesterday am already down just shy of 19 lbs. but my weight loss goal is 170 lbs, so I’ve got a long way to go yet. So also, I’d appreciate your prayers for continued discipline, and success in reaching that goal. I want my life back.

Prayers for success. I have a friend who had similar surgery a couple years back and it completely transformed her life. Wishing you similar great results.

Shoot! Just saw this...which means the surgery started 25 minutes ago. But maybe that's God's way of getting me back on the forum just in time to offer up some prayers! Knowing you're under right now, I'll say say one every 15 minutes for a while. I have it on good authority that God doesn't get annoyed by that kind of repetition...especially for The Annoyed Man.

O our Heavenly Father I come to you late but knowing you receive all the prayers already before you. You receive ours after the surgery.
Lord please guide the Drs in this surgery. I ask for a speedy recovery and good strength to truly get his life back.
Lord above all things I ask for long term discipline to chg lifestyle of eating habits. Give discipline to good and regular exercise to keep it off.
I ask all in Jesus Name AMEN
