My 96 year old mother has covid

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

My 96 year old mother has covid

#1

Post by The Annoyed Man »

My mom tested positive for COVID-19 about 10 days ago. They ran a second test and it came back positive again yesterday. She always gets a case of bronchitis every year at about this time of year, and she appears to have it again, but this time she’s tested positive twice for covid, so maybe it’s not her usual bronchitis? We don’t know for sure. She was already on antibiotics for the bronchitis when covid was diagnosed. They’re giving her an IV today to infuse some anti-covid meds. The great irony is that she was diagnosed on the same day that her assisted living facility received the vaccinations and was desperately trying to get all the residents vaccinated.

She says she doesn’t feel too bad, but when I spoke to her a couple of days ago, she sounded like a frog, and seemed to have difficulty being interested in talking.

Anyway, your prayers would be appreciated.

Consider it done and ongoing TAM.

I've had bronchial problems since late summer. Apparently I'm allergic to something over here in Arkansas :grumble

Prayers from here. I hope she does well. Many older people seem to do fine. My wife’s step-grandmother is 95 and in a nursing home recovering from a fall and broken hip. She had Covid about a month ago and had very mild symptoms overall. And, my wife’s side of the family (about 20 total) all ended up with Covid from exposure at family Christmas gatherings. Everyone had minor issues with it, including my 88 year old father-in-law and 86 year old mother-in-law.

I had it before Christmas and felt better than some of the times I had a cold.

On your Mom, just make sure they keep an eye on her oxygen levels and keep her hydrated and nourished, that is the biggies. :thumbs2:
