DAPS IDPA classifier Feb 10th
Anyone going? Wednesday night it was mentioned that they were trying to split up and make another shoot because so many people signed up for this one. So far, I'll be attending unless I get an email rescheduling me.

Well I didn't classify that well, but it was still fun and I hope it's onward and upward from here on out.
I have also decided I'm going to have to take the hi-power to the 'smith to put on a new commander-type hammer so it won't bite. Also I'm going to see if he can smooth out the trigger pull. I realized, (too late), that the front sight was prairie-dogging up and down while I was working through the trigger pull. (At least that's the excuse I'm stickin' with!)

There's always the next qlassifier.......I've definitely noticed a big difference when I shoot alot vs. not shooting for a month. BIG difference for me. No doubt I would have made SS easily. Only missed it by 4 points. I might try to make the next classifier but will hang back in case a bunch of people show. I was suprised so few showed up.
Hopefully there's a match wed night.

4 points? That was close. Very good.
Yeah, I'm thinking of classifying again on the 3rd. We'll see how many show up then.
I realized that I was trying to shoot too fast for my skill level. The 2-shot groups up close were good enough, but me trying to double-tap at 20 yards was just stupid. Like you mentioned on Saturday, I will concentrate on making holes in cardboard rather than the time factor.
Edited to add: *** Wednesday, February 14th is Valentine's day. I've been married 17 years, but there's still no way I would be able to get off the hook that night

If I did that I'd wake up and find an IDPA target where my wife used to be.

That's hilarious.........If your wife gives you a t-shirt for Valentines with the IDPA target printed on it, you'll know you shoot too much!!! Yeah, I'm thinking wednesday may not happen now. Forgot about V-Day...thanks.
