Lone Star IDPA Championship match

Post by MegaWatt »

Hats off to Brian and the Cross Timbers folks for a good match this weekend. Great SOs and fair calls. (Unlike the State Match) The stages were challenging for sure. I had two melt-downs so my scores sucked but it was great over all. Could have been warmer!

Glad you had a good time. I was CSO on stage 4 so I hope you had a good experience there ;-)

I did pretty well, 3rd ESP EX, beat by my buddy Matt by 0.42 seconds :banghead:

I was planning on attending the Lone Star IDPA Championship match but I'm pretty much miserable from allergies starting at the end of September through October so I skipped the match. It sounds like it was a really good match.

Hat's off to Brian and the SO's for handling a situation that could have potentially ended badly. Scroll down to the bottom to read a summary of the events.

I'll echo what Mega Watt said. This was a very well run match, stages were interesting without being rediculous. Calls were absolutely fair. Cover was being called, but if you got a cover call, you earned it. This match was more fun than nationals and WAY more fun than Comp-tac.

Great job Brian Ehrler, et all. :cheers2:
