First trip to the range with my new PPS 9mm

#1

Post by Songbird »

Love the gun, had no "trigger pinch" I've heard about from others, no recoil issues. It was fun to shoot, other than where the holes on the target are. My first four shots were dead center (I've been shooting really well with my Colt Mustang). After the first few shots everything else the rest of the day was consistently low and right. Any thoughts from the experts what I am doing wrong? There's not really anyone around here to train with that I know of. I know i just need to shoot more and keep practicing, but I need things to look and watch for in my technique. Thanks in advance for help!

I believe that means you are squeezing the gun with your thumb.

It is probably worth mentioning that these charts were made for one handed shooting and there are other factors that can throw you off with a two handed grip.

The PPS is fairly snappy for a 9mm. Since your first shots were on target, I would also pay attention that you aren't anticipating the recoil or tigtening your grip up at the last second.

Great gun!

Me too, but I also realize that I will never be a marksman (at least not in my planned future), in a self defense situation, I am confident of hitting a person square in the chest if needed, and really, that's my goal
