Does the TABC Mobile App work anymore?

#1

Post by Scott in Houston »

Since COVID, I have had limited time out.
Well, now I’m out and visited a place that I could see being 51% but wasn’t sure.
I opened my TABC App and tried to use it with my phone to no avail.

With the changes in the law and the confusion regarding signs… it doesn’t seem to be functional.

What is the link to the web site for verifying a license (red gun sign) status?

I found the link that allows inquiries on the TABC site.
Wish the mobile app worked still.

Open a browser, go to tabc.texas.gov
It worked as expected when I used it today.
Last used the app (Android) a few weeks ago, it also worked as expected. The proviso is that I only keyword search on the website; in the app I almost never word search - almost always select a location from the map. Word search could be broken in the app and I wouldn't necessarily notice.....

Very disappointing... I Used this often. Just checked and it does not appear to work. Hope it gets worked out and comes back.

Have a meeting at Lone Star Wine Cellar in McKinney this afternoon.
TABC website lists a license but "Gun Sign" is blank. Can someone help me? Can I carry?

They have a G license which is a winery. Those get neither sign but since the majority of wine is sold in bottles to go it's not 51%.

I've reported two that were displaying 51% signs and they got removed.

And....got a reply from TABC
. ,

Both TABC apps have been sunsetted and are now discontinued. Their functionality is now included as part of the new Alcohol Industry Management System, which you can access via the TABC website.

Subject: [EXT] TABC Apple and Android apps

Greetings; I am frequent user of the website's lookup function and the TABC Android app. I was pleased to see the changes to your website a few months back. As app functionality went away about that time I presumed that changes to your primary database made coding changes in the apps necessary. I went to the Google Play Store to see if there was a new app version available and found the TABC app appears to have been removed. What is the estimated time to a revised version of the app being available?

Thanks!
