30.06 sign at Ikea in Round Rock

I've only had my chl for a couple of weeks and today we went out to run errands. First was the bank. No problems, but it felt a little strange. Then, my wife dragged me to that Nordic wasteland, Ikea. Unfortunately, they have a big ol' (correct) 30.06 sign.

I told the wife we shouldn't shop there, but that only got me a look.

Well my wife has her CHL and knowing her she will pass on that store from now own. I wonder how long it has been posted.

Wonder if the Frisco location is posted? Might have to run by there this week to see.

I think all their locations are posted but I know that the RR location has been posted for a while.

IKEA doesn't want your business. What part of that don't you understand?

with their serpertine maze forcing you to walk the entire length of the store visiting all departments they may be afraid of frustrating some poor shopper into pulling a gun or in really desparate circumstances firing three shots as a signal of being lost and or distressed. I was only in the store once some years back and never had any plans to return.

Whoops. My BIL and I walked straight through the sign, then. Thanks for the heads up -- I should be more observant to signs.

I was just at the Frisco location. They have a gun buster sign but no 30.06 signs. So we are good to go for that location.

Ugh. Had to go back today to get what they didn't have last time. Halfway through the maze, I was glad I wasn't carrying; I'd have shot myself.

Never been to one. Don't think they know East Texas exists. That's okay, I can buy American furniture that's already assembled.

Sorry to resurrect a month-old thread. I hadn't been to Ikea since sometime last year, and apparently missed this thread. Walking up to the door today, was greeted with this:



Today will be the last time I will darken the doors of Ikea, until such time as they remove these signs. They have lost my business, and I will be sure to let them know about it.
