Yes, I called the number and got a hold of an agent from nics. She said she was not sure who called because they don't have records of who calls out and that I was going to have to wait for whoever called, to call back. She ask me also what was the number, And I told her 8773246427. She was like yup, that's our number but I don't have a clue on who called. So I'm still waiting for the call back.

Just received calls from NICS several days ago. Found these thread, and seems like we have same callers. They called me 3 times. I ignored the last two of them.

Just googled the number and found at http://whycall.me that several people also reported the number as scam. I should have been just blocked them.

Its pretty easy to spoof caller id so they could put almost anything in they wanted.

But, as someone else said, it is pretty easy to create a phony caller ID.
