One of the facilities where I teach an occasional class at has this service come in. I brief the students beforehand. I tell them that it' s not endorsed by the state, there are competitive options, and like any other service or product they should make an educated decision. Once the presenter arrives, I tell the class that we're on a break and they can do what they like.

The downside, it takes 15 ~ 20 mins of my time and the students' time.

The upside, I get to address one of the cases that they like to quote as an example of the service, and explain how badly that person messed up.

This is something that could be offered at the end of the course. After the papers are handed out, let people know that they can stay if they like.

I experienced the same sales pitch at the CHL class I attend in Cypress Texas. It was over the top and dominated the instructors time to the point of irritation . This needs to be stopped.
