The data here is a couple of years old, but the map is easy to use. About halfway down the article is an interactive map. Blow it up and look for your zip code. This probably won't work too well on a phone.

I know info used to be on line you just typed in zip, I took the 1st daytime class in Tarrant County and lived in Garland Tx then my zip was #1 a big surprise, the 1st actual class started at 12:01 AM. A friend and I mailed back our packets on the next day and there were 2 weeks difference in getting the plastic back, his is a 2 digit number mine a 3 digit. I got a 4 year she got a 2 year license.

Thank you... any source for 2018 stats?

A retailer I have used in Friendswood just posted 30.06 and by the 2016 license stats and 2018 21+population stats, he has just alienated 17% of his potential customers, I am guessing 2018 licensee numbers would be higher if I could get them before I go have a friendly chat and try to enlighten the fellow. I recall hearing somewhere that Friendswood was the highest % of licensees in the state, but I could be wrong? Anyone?

FWIW... I had a chat with that retailer today and did a little very friendly education. 30.06 sign now gone!

Being friendly and informative never hurts. Try it with you4 local 30.06 posted business. :patriot:
