LTC Renewal delay for veteran

#1

Post by gandj »

I'm wondering if the long delay in renewals is for veterans? My husband and I renewed our licenses within minutes of each other. Same computer, same everything. I got my renewal license in less than 2 weeks and his is now over 45 days and still pending. He doesn't have any criminal history that would delay it, so what could be taking so long? He is a veteran and I wondered if there were other veterans out there experiencing delays?

Thanks.

Not seeing what veteran status would have to do with LTC renewal beyond fees. Has he gone online and checked status? Most likely he has to either submit prints or photos and DPS is waiting on him.

There is no rhyme or reason that would explain why some people get delayed.

I'm a 22-year veteran and my renewal took 13 days from submission to receipt.

It probably means he’s got some type of criminal history, regardless of how minor or far back.

I guess there's no rhyme or reason. I just was thinking maybe some were going to a specific department that was slower than the rest, so thank you for veterans for replying yours was fast. No criminal history, his initial license didn't have a delay. There's no additional requirements from the day of submission and he's called just to make sure.

Yes, my last renewal as vet also took less than two weeks.
