What kind of mount are you going to do?

Hey Beiruty, what is that "donut" looking device on your rifle barrel near the muzzle?

Nice looking ram, by the way. Good for you.

It looks to me like a resonator. A resonator is designed to affect the barrel harmonics to improve accuracy. For example, Ruger ships their new version Mini-14 Target Model with a (different) resonator. I know Limbsaver makes a similar product.

That's what I thought it might be, but wasn't sure because it looks like an aftermarket product.

Yes, there are aftermarket products like the Limbsaver, and this looks aftermarket.

How effective is it?

Great video.

I guess, it is quality product since I do believe in the limbsaver recoil pads. The best there is that is not from factory.
As for efficiency. Limbsaver anti-resonator device slow down the vibrations and makes subsequent and follow up shots less prone to high deviations from the first shot. You do not need it if you belong to 1-shot 1-kill club. :smilelol5:

Thanks a lot for the nice words, I am still waiting on getting it back from the Taxidermist. I plan on deer Trophy hunting at the same ranch this coming November. I would ask to shoot at least 10-12 pointer no less. We need more rain. :biggrinjester:
