Book review.. "Through The Valley Of The Kwai"

I read this book after seeing "To End All Wars" several times, it is based on the account of Ernest Gordon. The movie is excellent and the book is better (as always). I think readers of this forum would like the historical aspect covering how the Japanese treated POW's in WW2 (it still amazes me how brutal the Japanese were). The great thing about this book is how it covers the spiritual aspect and how belief in God gave these men the power to forgive the very men that tortured daily and gave them the strength to survive. It's a good reminder and lesson lest we forget what people have gone through to give us our freedom. It's also a reminder of what Christ has commanded us to do and how to live. There is bit of bad language, but I would suggest getting a copy and reading it when you have time.
