Florida Condo collapse- put tin foil hat on this ride will be bumpy

So the Florida Condo collapse was a great tragedy. Really terrible, horrible. Mothers, babies, children all crushed to death. Prayers to all those who lost someone. RIP.

Put your tin foil hat on now.

Every reason know to man was suggested by the MSM for the collapse except one obvious cause, whose name shall not be mentioned.

When I saw the video I saw a demolition. A Doctor of structural engineering who designed many of Houston’s tallest buildings who is a professor at Uof H said 40 year old concrete buildings don’t just collapse on there own like that. Concrete gets stronger as it ages.

Could it have been a Van packed with explosives in the underground garage. Our enemies did that once at the World Trade Center, wasn’t successful tried again with jet liners.

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/ ... 87198.html

Today Miami Herald spoke the unspeakable.

TWA flight 800 was brought down by a missile, FAA concluded it was old wires running through a fuel tank. Clinton’s didn’t want terrorism right before the election.

Xiden doesn’t want any terrorism on his watch either.

So they are not even looking.

But why? No credit taken, why this obscure building. It was a proof of concept, for something bigger.

TWA 800 was most certainly brought down with explosives.

From the official report:
1.16.4.8 Examination of Explosive Residue Examination of recovered wreckage revealed trace amounts of explosive residue on three samples of material from three separate locations in the airplane wreckage. These material samples were submitted to the FBI s laboratory in Washington, D.C., with many other material samples for analysis. The pieces on which these traces were found were described by the FBI as a piece of canvas like material and two pieces of floor panel;however, the exact locations of the traces were not documented. According to the FBIís laboratory report,219 analysis of each of the three material samples revealed that they contained traces of different explosives: one contained cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine(RDX), one contained nitroglycerin, and one contained a combination of RDX and pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN). Subsequent investigation revealed that the accident airplane had been used for a dog-training explosive detection exercise at St. Louis-Lambert International Airport(STL), St. Louis, Missouri, on June 10, 1996. During that exercise, an airport police officer placed five training aids containing explosives (one of which was cracked and could have released small amounts of explosives) in various locations inside the passenger cabin. Training aids were placed in the following locations: (1) in row 1, in the center armrest compartment separating seats 1 and 2; (2) in a small closet at the rear of the upper deck; (3) in row 10, inside the rear pouch of the seat back in front of seat 9; (4) in row 20,in the overhead compartment above seats 1 and 2; and (5) beside exit door R3 (see figure 20 in section 1.6.3.2 for an airplane diagram).2201.16.4.8.1 FAA Studies on the Effects of Sea Water on Explosive Residue Contamination FAA personnel at the FAA ís William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City,New Jersey, conducted tests to study the effects of sea water on cloth and aluminum airplane parts that had been exposed to explosives contamination.221 Pieces of aluminum from the wing of a commercial airplane and pieces of airplane seat covers were contaminated with explosive residue by manually deposited explosives and by exposure to an actual explosion and were then immersed in sea water. In both cases, when the cloth and aluminum airplane parts were examined after 2 days of immersion in sea water, the explosive residues were completely dissipated. The FAAís report concluded, ìour experiments have shown that their [sic] is very little likelihood that blast deposited explosive materials remain very long on cloth or aluminum aircraft parts after immersion in [sea water].î The FAA attributed this, in part, to the explosive residues being ìsomewhat soluble in [sea water].î
Its just amazing how RDX and nitroglycerin, and PETN just "happened" to all show up in the wreckage! It's not like you can get a military grade explosive like RDX at the corner store.

It's too early to know for certain what brought the Florida building down, but it does take more than one structural failure for a building to collapse. Its possible for the failures to have occurred over time, and the last major support to fail taking down the entire building.

Even if the trigger for the slab failure was identified, experts say, it still does not explain why the structure on top of it subsequently came down. Lehman said a question for investigators remains: “How could we have saved the rest of the building from collapsing.”
This is a good point. We know from events like the Leaning Tower of Dallas that just because the support of a building fails, that doesn't mean the whole thing becomes pulverized.
On February 16, 2020 Lloyd D. Nabors Demolition used 300 pounds of dynamite to demolish the building to make room for a $2.5 billion mixed-use project by De La Vega Development for that property.[4] The entire building collapsed except the core which housed the elevator shaft and stairwell. The core collapsed slightly at its base then just stopped falling. The core ended up stabilizing with a slight lean. According to Artemio De La Vega, CEO of De La Vega Development, "The core settled into the basement probably, approximately...I'd say 35 to 40 feet down into the basement, which is basically what is holding the tower.

Good video on the possible cause of the collapse. The concrete pool deck was not sloped according to the plans. It was poured with no slope. This allowed water to accumulate and linger on the deck. The water found its way down into the concrete structure below and started rusting the rebar used to reinforce the concrete. When rebar rusts it expands. When rebar inside of concrete expands it pushes against the concrete and causes it to fail and break apart. This is called spalling. Concrete has great compressive strength but less shear or tensile strength. It looks like the condos dropped in four parts. The first section near the core of the building started dropping and it compromised each successive section causing the concrete to fail and the sections to topple.

Structural Engineer died in collapse of condo. He lived there on the 12th floor.

So problems were well known to residents. So would a retired structural engineer take a few seconds a check out the problem and decide if it was serious and he should move out?

I think he did and decided it was not an issue.

Prediction: Building collapse will be due to an accumulation of delayed and/or poor decisions about deferred maintenance and repair, with an unhealthy dose of small design and construction flaws that took time to percolate to fruition.

ETA:
. It added the board was requesting bids to replace the tank, but the permit would take three to six months to secure. It wasn’t immediately clear if that work was ever completed.
I forgot to add a government regulatory structure that focuses on following an excruciating process rather than achieving actual safe outcomes.
