McCarthy calls on Biden to deploy National Guard as pressure builds over Haitian migrant surge

The drone video over that bridge in Del Rio is unbelievable.

The FAA has now banned drone flying over the bridge.

And that ban has nothing to do with safety issues, I'm sure. Fox News just reported that the estimate of the numbers under the bridge, as of this morning, tops 15,000. That estimate last Tuesday/Wednesday was more like 5,000. Fox also reports chatter that at least another thousand or two are making their way to the bridge. Two videos below...

This video from The Sun last Thursday, when the count was around 9,000 people. This is one of the last drone videos taken before the FAA banned the flyovers:

This one is blurry; it's taken from Ted Cruz inside a car driving near the Del Rio encampment yesterday. No more drone videos, so this is what we have.

They did lift the ban. The first day of it Fox was invited into the DPS helicopter. FAA reversed coarse the next day. The ban was aparently the brain child of Pete Buttigieg.

Actually, the ban is not lifted; it remains in force through September 30: https://tfr.faa.gov/save_pages/detail_1_9857.html. But Fox News requested and was given a special clearance, called an SGI Waiver. The ban went into effect as of 5:30 p.m. Central on Thursday then on Friday, as you noted, law enforcement on the ground let Fox and and a couple of other news outlets accompany them on periodic helo flyovers. Shortly after that the FAA approved Fox's SGI Waiver...one wonders if it's because they realized they couldn't stop the cameras anyway. :???:

I did not realize the ban was still in affect. I just knew it did not apply to Fox news at this point. My bet is that someone in legal realized they had over stepped. These leftist scum never do anything because it is the right thing to do. There is some other reason they changed coarse on it. The other two MSM outlets aren't covering the border issue anyway. It doesn't fit in the democrat propaganda campaign.

Exactly. Having a mass of people--whose numbers already are about half the entire population of Del Rio, Texas (and 31% of Del Rio's population is under the age of 18), and growing daily--camped in the dirt and mud in a confined space under the Del Rio bridge, without tents, clean water, or food, bathing and going to the bathroom in the river, and absolutely overwhelming the capacity of the border patrol, does not make for a good photo-op for the current administration.

But wait! A few minutes ago the White House announced they were sending an additional 400 U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents to Del Rio to help with what is expected to be 17,000 migrants as of tomorrow. Man. It's a really good thing that Uncle Joe is a strategic genius! Otherwise, we might have screwed up a lot of stuff in just the less than 8 months he's been in office...

My fear is that, like the California recall, not enough people recognize that danger and blithely do whatever they are told. That means that the problems are permanent, regardless of what happens.

we have to put max pressure on biden and all the nuts running the country, its going to be very very hard to recover.
del rio mayor and leo and dps need to to load up all these folks in busses headed for dc. refuse to allow DHS to park these folks in towns,
we all must insist our local towns to STOP all dhs or ice off loads, fwd them to dc only.

Videos showing border patrol agents aggressively rounding up Haitians on horseback.

Jen Psaki says Trump Administration to blame.

So illegals from Mexico and Central America ok? But Haitians not?

And no mandatory vaccinations for illegals because ?
