The Star Spangled Banner: Now, for the rest of the story

Sadly, a growing percentage of Americans don't know how our National Anthem came to be. I must admit that this video gave details as to why Francis Scott Key wrote the song that came to be the Star Spangled Banner that I had not learned before. I'll never be able to hear it the same way again.

Wow that is a very educational video. I have heard of many of things he said. The man talking sounds just like an attorney for the CLA, David Gibbs II.

I also will never sing the Star Spangled Banner without remembering this history lesson.

Charles, thanks for sharing. It has been a long time since I have heard that story.

The sad part is that those that are privileged enough to sing the Star Spangled Banner want to put their "personal spin" on it instead of singing it the way it is meant to be sung.

I have to agree with him that all activities should stop while it's being played.
