Excellent book. Would be good if it morphed from fiction to current events.

I'd like to know who the cover model is. I'm lucky enough to have bought the book way back when. You can get them through bookfinder.com still, for a premium usually.

The guy in black with what looks like it might be an MP5 or a knockoff?

Oh. Not that guy...

The book is also floating around the web in an EPUB format for those, like me, who prefer to read on a Kindle or other eReader. Can't remember where I got my copy, but it's in my "digital library."

How about the unintended consequences of creating gun free zones, enabling bad guys to kill without opposition?

Or the feds shoving EV's down our throats and expecting an already strained electric generating system to keep up?
Note to the greens: electricity does not make electricity!

Or how about letting violent prisoners out of jail so they can continue to offend good people?

Those are all intended consequences cloaked in the guise of good intentions but with actual malevolence behind them.

Like the fact that EVs require large batteries, batteries that have to be replaced after several years at a cost of $5,000 to $15,000, and...ta dah!...77% of all the world's batteries are made in China.

That's not unintended that is fully intended.
Or, had you forgotten that Slow Joe's paymasters are in China?

Well, in Woodside, California, yesterday. ;-) But I was replying to Excaliber's statement: "Those are all intended consequences cloaked in the guise of good intentions but with actual malevolence behind them."
