Sad to say, it happened in Detroit where the word "society" takes on a whole new meaning.

Unfortunately that seems to be the direction society is heading. Some people just can't see past there own little piece of reality to lend a hand to someone in need. This is really sad seeing how this elderly man was crawling on the ground.

In another forum, a question was raised as to the possibility that the elderly guy crawling on the ground in DETROIT, MI might have been used as bait by the gang bangers. Yes, it is beyond sad, what some of us and some of our citys have become.

What do you expect? A sue happy nation full of cold heartless people. Yes--society is going that way quickly unfortunately. It's all about me and nobody else. This same people would give you a stiff face and tell you that they are one of the most giving nations on earth--right. :mad5

When I lived in Florida, I saw a woman vacationer from Detroit wearing a T-shirt that said it all:

"Detroit - where the weak are killed and eaten."

That might have something to do with the fact that productive people are fleeing that wasteland in droves.
