I haven't done THAT, but I have hit the pavement a few times and THAT looked like it hurt more that the times I've hit the road.

It sure stinks that he was the point man for the convoy, and learned the hard way
where the pavement was "motorcycle unfriendly."

It's hard to tell from the video but it looks like he wasn't paying enough attention if he didn't see a bump that large.

LOL, sorry, no hurt feelings from me on that one.... completely avoidable idiot move.. coupled with "Im too cool for gear" mentality so many riders have, to include many Motorcycle LEO's have = road rash, bumps and bruises that SHOULD hurt for some time to come as a reminder, Stupid should be painful. .

One thing that is kind of nice in the North is that there are very few speed bumps
in parking lots, or on the public streets.

Reason: The snowplows would tear them up every winter. So you don't see very many!

It would be ironic if he thought he was the only one professional enough to drive that fast.

:iagree: I wonder if he had either locked up the rear wheel or just tried to soak it up if he would have made it over. Looks like he would have grabbed some air for sure.

The first thing I thought when I say that is "Wheelies... Your doing it wrong!"

Oh, poor guy...

That serves as a reminder to always wear a helmet.

Sure, he may have suffered some broken bones (and probably did) but I'll bet he was glad his noggin was in a helmet.

I ran it back several times to watch ... this exactly. Maybe he should have pushed down on
floorboards, got his rear end off the seat some and used his legs as shocks. Similar to going
over high rail road tracks etc. As others have stated, "....he was only one professional enough".
