No. Some of them are those easy-open, aluminized plastic-tipped, cop-killer cans! :biggrinjester:

if in the states that limit capacity will have to ensure that the cans only have maximum allowed by law of food in them. i.e. 10 kernels of corn, 10 peas etc etc

grocery stores will probably have to have FFL's since the cans will now be considered weapons....

libs will try to get all cans registered.....

can go on and on

That is exactly correct, and when you follow the logic all the way out, it quickly becomes obvious that there's a more effective weapon than food cans available. This starts to get folks over the hurdle of realizing a weapon is needed in these circumstances.

When you think about it, this is the equivalent of a primitive society's technique of stoning.

Oh, well, the low info folks have to start somewhere.........

Hopefully, one of the smarter kids in class will see the truth in this situation and start asking questions. The conversation might go something like this...

Little Johnny - Ms. Crabapple, instead of cans, why can you just carry a gun? This would at least give us all a fighting chance.

Ms. Crabapple - Oh no Johnny, guns are not allowed in school.

Little Johnny - If guns aren't allowed in school, then why are we talking about a man bringing a gun to school?

Ms. Crabapple - Well Johnny, we're talking about someone that may have mental problems and not understand right from wrong and wants to hurt people. It might also just be a mean person that has no regard for the law.

Little Johnny - So because he has mental problems or might not follow the law, he might bring a gun to school even though they aren't allowed? I don't understand.

Ms. Crabapple - Well Johnny, some people don't follow the law and have no regard for the lives of others.

Little Johnny - But if he brings a gun to school, won't he go to jail?

Ms. Crabapple - Yes, if he's caught. Most likely he'll kill himself or die in a shootout with police when they finally get here after 5 or 10 minutes.

Little Johnny - But what are we supposed to do until the police arrive?

Ms. Crabapple - Well Johnny, that's why we're teaching you how to throw cans at the bad guys.

Little Johnny - I still don't get it, if guns aren't allowed in school but some people don't care about the law and still bring guns to school, shouldn't we be allowed to defend ourselves and allow teachers to have guns.

Ms. Crabapple - Johnny, you're so cute.

Little Johnny - My dad says "never bring can to gun fight"

This thread is the gift that keeps on giving! :woohoo

Just wait until a kid beans an intruder with a can of butter beans, and said intruder sues the school for lack of due process, or being assaulted, or some other stupid thing.

The first thought that comes to my mind is that there may be availability and selection problems with store bought cans. I want to get a canning machine so I can fine tune can weights to match the capabilities of my particular arm and save lots of money. The only problem is that I have lots of empty cans, but can't seem to find any of the components to go inside.
