G26ster,

Consarn it, yer justa kid.

I turned off all the avatars way back and personal home brewed philosophies or copied quotes at the end of so many posts. I found them hackneyed, uninspiring or banal in their complete lacking of originality. Rather along the lines of 'play stupid games/win stupid prizes' posted ad nauseam. How unoriginal and boring can you get, though many seem to think this platitude the height of wit...

I prefer to read original posts with a Joe Friday, just the facts attitudes ma'am without the addition of anything extra...yes, I'm a curmudgeon...

Something else the Trump admin is doing that will go ignored by the liberal propaganda organizations.

www.dailysignal.com/2018/11/12/trump-is ... -at-the-va
Believe it or not, the Department of Veterans Affairs has 430 medical professionals who, instead of performing their duties as nurses or doctors, spend some or all of their time working for their federal employees unions.

All of that happens on the taxpayers’ dime.

Not anymore, according to the VA’s recent announcement.

As of Nov. 15, the VA will repudiate part of its master collective-bargaining agreement. In particular, it will eliminate all forms of taxpayer-funded “official time” for its roughly 104,000 Title 38 medical profession employees.

According to the Federal Labor Relations Authority, official time is that in which “an employee’s activities are not directed by the agency, but for which an employee is nevertheless entitled to compensation from the agency.”

In other words, official time refers to taxpayers paying federal employees to perform non-federal activities unrelated to the jobs they were hired to perform.
I have not doubt there will be a couple that find fault with this and try to spin it to make Trump appear to be doing something terrible.

Acosta was being a pompous jerk. His refusal to relinquish the microphone when told to do so was against the decorum rules and interfered with other reporters rights to be included.
All CNN should be banned from the WH at least as long as there is ongoing litigation involving them

Can't believe a reasonable nonbiased judge would rule in favor of a disruptive disrespectful report that tries to make the news instead report it. I do not see him having his white house pass revolked as an infringement of his 1st Amendment rights at all. He is still free to say what he wants. He just isn't free to harass the president and disrupt the press conference.

Freedom of the press does NOT necessarily guarantee access for any ONE reporter. CNN can send somebody else. What the first amendment does provide, is that Acosta can whine about getting the boot in any manner and forum he chooses.....

I haven't seen it in writing anywhere that Trump had to call on Acosta. Although I think Acosta is a jerk I believe that Trump calls on him to provoke these outbursts as it is good showmanship and creates buzz.

If CNN wins this lawsuit, then the White House should assign Acosta to the back row and never call on him. Maybe also start every press conference with a statement that physical contact with staff will not be tolerated and a reminder that it is never OK for a man to assault a woman, while staring directly at this cretin.

IANAL, but obviously the White House restricts press credentials as there simply is not enough space to have a reporter from every single news organization in the country. How does a judge mandate which reporters get to attend? Do they go based solely on ratings or what?

Shouldn't CNN also recuse themselves from reporting on anything related to President Trump? How are they supposed to be unbiased when they are engaged in a lawsuit with the party they are reporting on?

No doubt this is what they will do while this works its way up through the courts.

I would be a terrible President, I would just end all press briefings until the Supreme Court Rules that the President is free to invite whoever he wants to the White House and that does not restrict anyone’s constitutional rights. To me Kellyanne and the President can just tweet anything they want out there. No reason to give the press any advantage over the average citizen. Let Fox chew on that a while.
