Red flag laws for the mentally ill with "rapid due process" (rephrasing the just take their guns comment?) and tightening on background checks. Oh boy. It seems that his reelection will cost us dearly and we're still over a year away.

Trump:
"Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun...I am open and ready to listen and discuss all ideas that will actually work and make a very big difference."

I just saw a story on Sayoc(the guy who sent out mail bombs). His defense tried to claim he had lost touch with reality due to watching Fox news. Maybe someone can find a link to the story.

Today a coworker told me that hes so upset that Trump is visiting El Paso. Apparently he blames Trump for what happened and is offended by his visit. He's offended by the President of the United States visiting one of his States that has just experienced a tragedy. If Trump didn't go he would have been offended because it would show indifference or whatever. We just cant reason with these people.

The scariest part is that my coworker is actually a very intelligent, educated and otherwise reasonable and nice individual that we get along perfectly.

using mental illness as an excuse to deny LAW ABIDING citizens their Constitutional 2A right? no. i dont see in the constitution where it says "those deemed fit by a doctor". I do however, see, "shall not be infringed". Using mental illness as a backdoor to deny anyone their 2A rights on a whim doesnt sound like a solution any of us want... Go to the doctor because you're upset you lost your job. BAM you have chronic depression and no longer qualify to practice your 2A constitutional rights... I don't agree with any type of law that prevents law abiding citizens from exercising their constitutional rights. PERIOD. Now I DO support MORE people practicing their 2A rights. I guarantee if more people were armed and carrying in el paso, the gunman would have been dead within 5 seconds. the only "idea that will actually work" is to pass constitutional carry so more people are able to defend themselves and others from the criminals who obtain their guns illegally and will continue to obtain them illegally even if they''re "banned".

Trump blamed for the two mass shootings over the weekend.
How many of the school shootings was Obama blamed for?

They have all lumped the two shootings together as “White Supremacists”, when clearly the Ohio shooter was an Elizabeth Warren supporter and wanted socialism without the wait.

My ex-wife was a very intelligent, educated and otherwise reasonable and nice individual ... but we didn't get along perfectly.

Neither of which would have prevented the shooters from getting firearms.

Trump greeted by protestors in Ohio. Baby blimp comes out.

Sorry to see the supporters of the shooter in Ohio didn’t take a pause in their protests before the funerals of the innocents.
