So the first farm the government is planning to appropriate is not a farm, but a game reserve that was bought 21 years ago when Nelson Mandela was President. So one would assume, anyone could have purchased the land, including the government.

This does not at all look like farmland. It was unoccupied when it was purchased. It was later discovered to have a vast coal deposit under it.

So this looks like government theft, socialism, communism, nationalization whatever you want to call it.
Whew! Glad I live in the good ole USA where the government would never confiscate your property without due process and fair compensation.
I really hope this is sarcasm....

Yep, forgot the sarcasm font....

Bill to seize farmland without compensation withdrawn for further consideration.

Is this more Trump winning?

Theresa May visits SA and publicly supports land appropriations as long as its legal and transparent.

Then adds it could spur investment in SA.

The article adds that her support is a refreshing change from President Trump’s ignorant tweets.

Yes, legally stealing land from one group always results in new investment from the same group afterwards as long as it’s legal and transparent.

Worked for guns in England, will work for land in SA.

Our nation, as a whole, is currently nowhere near this sort of thing. However, we need to be continuous in our fight against gun control in any form or fashion. Disarming people makes it so much easier to subjugate them. Incidents like those occurring in South Africa are why I refuse to vote for anyone who pushes gun control, such as the Democrat running for Senate this year. The only thing Democrats seem to love as much as taxes is gun control...I wonder why.

Democrats/Liberals want gun control because 1. You cannot subjugate an armed populace!
2. They know you won't willingly get in the boxcar!
Government, like fire is a dangerous servant and a fearful master
If you ain't paranoid you ain't paying attention
Don't fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war let it begin here- John Parker

Slight disagreement about this, what the Democrats really love is power and spending. Gun control is the path to unbridled power, taxes are where they get the money to spend. Citizens are pawns and serfs to the Democrats. The establishment Republicans are not much better.

Nedbank - mortgages must still be paid back despite land expropriation.

Naturally.

South Africa now has 57 murders a day.

I would say that gun regulations are restrictive, however it does appear if you try hard enough to legally obtain a gun you can. However it appears you have to go through the whole mess every ten years.
